Biography
Gábor Gönczi has over fourteen years of experience in the water utility sector. He graduated at Budapest University of Technology and Economics in the faculty of mechanical engineering in 2008. He has more than a decade of expertise in computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modelling in the following key areas: low and high speed fluid flow, modelling of gas and gas mixture flow. Analysis of non-Newtonian fluid flow in sewage treatment plants. Gábor is also expert in hydraulic analysis of complex water distribution systems.
He has ten years of experience in pump house reconstruction support and design, with pump selection, suction and discharge pipe design. Extensive R&D experience in head loss reduction. He has experience in special heat exchanger design for potable water to extract the excess heat capacity of the drinking water.
Currently, he works as a Technical Development Engineer at Budapest Waterworks at the Department of Engineering Services.
