Mr. Afrim Lajçi is graduated in the Faculty of Construction and Architecture of the University of Pristina, Hydrotechnic Branch in 1986. He has over 30 years of experience in the water sector. He started his professional career in the water supply company in the city of Peja as the head of the technical department, while from 1999 to 2004 he was the general director of this company. During this period, he was also the first chairman of the Board of SHUKOS (2001-2003). He is one of those who laid the foundations of the economic regulation of water services in Kosovo, being the first director of the Water Services Regulatory Authority from its establishment in 2004 to 2010. Since 2010, he has been engaged in many projects in Kosovo. and Albania as an independent consultant. He is currently Advisor for Regulatory Affairs in the Interministerial Council for Water within the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo.
