Ylber Mirta

Ylber Mirta has over twenty years of experience in sustainable development and water issues. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Technology from the University of Prishtina in Mitrovica, Kosovo. Ylber is responsible for developing national policies and implementing legislation related to water resource management in North Macedonia. His key responsibilities include: 1) serving as the National Focal Point for the Helsinki Water Convention; 2) overseeing numerous water resource management projects supported by the EU – IPA, UNDP, GEF, GIZ, Swiss SECO/SDC, the World Bank, and REC; and 3) participating in high-level meetings, conferences, the World Water Forum, and UNECE meetings. He currently serves as the Head of the Water Department in the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in North Macedonia.
