Ndriçim Shani

Mr Ndriçim Shani is serving his second term as a Chair of the National Regulatory Commission of the Water Regulatory Authority in Albania, since May 2016. He has graduated in 1982 from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering Hydro technical branch. He holds a M.Sc. in “Hydrology, Water Quality Analysis and Treatment” at the University of Montpellier II, France, since 1991. He has over 39 years of experience in water supply, sanitation and environment fields, as lecturer at the university and as senior project engineer. Mr Shani has an extensive experience in the private and public sector, in public policy making at the national level, as well as planning and management projects of water supply, sanitation and environment funded by foreign donors and Albanian Government. He is the author of several books and various manuals on water issues.
