Lindita Troka

Lindita Troka joined the Bank in October 2022 as a consultant, supporting World Bank water portfolio implementation, after an extensive period of 13 years working for the Government of Albania, in several assignments, including positions as Director of Development Programs of Water Supply, Sanitation (WSS) and Solid Waste Infrastructure, Advisor to the Minister on WSS Reform, and Head of the Water for People Integrated Policy Management Group. During her assignments Lindita had leaded and monitored the implementation of the WSS Reform and its action plan, contributing directly to the first phase of the merging of the water supply with sanitation services and of the aggregation of the urban and rural utilities (from 189 service provider to 58 utilities), and for shifting of sector towards performance through Performance Based Grants and performance contract. Lindita holds a Master of Science in EU Business Law and has contributed also to the approximation of the Albanian legal framework with EU acquis especially regarding the Chapter 27, Environment.
