Biography
Ms. Fjolla Lasku Hoti is the head of the Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Gjakova Water Utility. She joined RWC Gjakova in 2021 as a UWWTP Process Engineer. Fjolla worked as a Wastewater Technologist for the Dutch company YUNIKO BV starting in 2019. During her time there, she was actively involved in the YEP Programmes as a Young Water Expert for two years. She is also a member of the Young Water Professionals of Kosovo and the Women in Energy and Mining network.
Fjolla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Chemistry from the University of Prishtina’s Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences. She further pursued her education with a Master’s degree in Environmental Protection Engineering from the University of Mitrovica’s Faculty of Food Technology. Additionally, she broadened her international perspective by studying Environmental Sciences for a semester at the University of Applied Sciences “Van Hall Larenstein” in the Netherlands.
Currently, Fjolla is a PhD candidate at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, where she is focused on advancing her research in wastewater management and sustainable practices.
