Biography

Federico Perez Penalosa is a Senior Water and Sanitation Consultant in the World Bank, where he currently implements the Bank’s global Utility of the Future Global Program and coordinates the Utility of the Future Center of Excellence. He has over fifteen years of experience in business strategy, change management, innovation and business transformation in water utilities and energy companies, in the public sector, private sector, and multi-lateral development agencies. Federico has experience in process optimization and transformation/change management with water and sanitation utilities in: Albania, Argentina, Belarus, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Dominican Republican, Sao Tome and Principe, Timor Lester, Turkey, Uruguay, Zambia. Federico is an economist, MBA and specialist in strategy and innovation.
