Blerta Duro
Biography
Blerta Duro graduated from the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering / Water Treatment. She has a 19-year experience in numerous infrastructure projects starting with implementation, preparation of studies for the protection of water resources, preparation of feasibility for small treatment units and has continued with the management of projects and programs of rural water infrastructure near ADF. She has extensive experience in international project management with the KfW-funded Rural Water Supply Programs. Its main activities include the coordination and management of the implementation of the water supply programs, starting with the technical feasibility phase, design, implementation, assisting in the successful implementation of the Financing Agreements.
She managed consultancy contracts for the design of Supervision and Accompanying Measures. Her career has continued with the management of the Environmental and Social Unit within ADF, where she has followed the completion of Environmental and Social standards in all ADF projects, respecting the environmental and social policies of different donors and in accordance with Albanian legislation, in order to ensured that the projects implemented by ADF meet international standards. Currently Manager for Environmental issues for the organization to ensure environmental performance in the projects implemented by the ADF.
