Armin Bigham Ghazani

Armin Bigham Ghazani is an Associate Environmental Affairs Officer at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). As a studied hydrologist, he has specialized in transboundary water cooperation in Western Asia and integrated water resources management in arid regions. At UNECE, he is supporting countries from Western Asia and North Africa under the 1992 Water Convention and is responsible for the programme area of Equitable Access to Water and Sanitation under its Protocol on Water and Health.

Before joining the UNECE, Armin was a Junior Research Fellow at the United Nations University and co-founded a think-tank (SWIM – Solutions for Water Integrity and Management) specializing in transboundary water interactions and good water governance.
