Adelina Farrici

Mrs. Adelina Farrici has concluded her studies at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Physics Department, continuing her postgraduate studies in the field of Business Administration. Mrs. Farrici has completed a number of prestigious specializations, within the country and abroad, focusing on local government and decentralization, educational management, gender equality and the inclusion of women in decision-making processes.

In 2011, she was elected the first female mayor in the history of Burrel Municipality, where she successfully triumphed over gender bias, encouraging the female figure in the region to become more active in the decision-making processes. Mrs. Farrici continues to make a special contribution to the development and implementation of the territorial reform and the strengthening of local autonomy.

Mrs. Adelina Farrici is the Executive Director of the Association for Local Autonomy since 2015 and a member of the Steering Committees of many national and international projects.
