Ndriçim Shani

Ndriçim Shani graduated in 1982 from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical branch. In 1991 he completed a Master’s degree in Hydrology, Water Analysis and Treatment at the University of Montpellier, France. Mr Shani has over 39 years of experience in water supply, sanitation and the environment, as a university lecturer and as a design engineer. He also has extensive experience in the private and public sectors in public policy-making at national government level, as well as in the planning and management of large-scale water supply, sanitation and environmental projects funded by foreign donors and the Albanian Government. He speaks three foreign languages and has completed several, mainly long-term, qualifications abroad. He is the author of several textbooks and manuals in the water field. Mr Shani served two terms as Chair of the National Regulatory Commission of the Water Regulatory Authority of Albania, which he successfully completed in June 2024. He is currently General Coordinator at the Tirana Water Supply and Sewerage Company.
